Dedicated full-time Google Cloud developer
Owns projects, deploys, identity and cost. Makes sense when GCP is the production home, not an experiment beside AWS.

Dedicated Google Cloud engineers
Need a GCP engineer for Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL or a cost cleanup? DayDecoder’s founder holds Google’s Professional Cloud Architect certification. We keep overlap hours for the US, UK, Europe and Australia. We will not invent Google Cloud case studies we do not have.
GCP is a first-class cloud in our certifications and our cost-optimisation service. It is not the majority of the public portfolio, and this page will not pretend otherwise.
The founder’s Professional Cloud Architect credential is from 2023. Our cloud cost page lists the Google tools we use in audits: Cloud Billing reports, budgets, FinOps hub, Active Assist recommenders, CUDs and Spot VMs, Cloud Storage classes, Cloud CDN, Cloud Run and GKE Autopilot. That is the work a dedicated GCP hire does: landing an app, wiring identity, making deploys boring, and stopping the bill from being a monthly surprise.
None of the public case studies currently list “Google Cloud” in their tech array. AWS shows up more often because that is where those products were hosted. If you need a gallery of GCP logos, you will not find a fake one here. What you will find is a certified architect, a documented cost practice, and a team used to running production web apps. If that is not enough proof for your procurement process, say so on the call — we would rather lose the work than fabricate a case study.
Cloud Run when a containerised Laravel, Node or Python service should scale to zero. GKE when you already have Kubernetes reasons, not because Kubernetes is a personality.
Managed MySQL or PostgreSQL, Cloud Storage with the right class and lifecycle, IAM that is not a primitive owner on a user account.
Cloud Build or the Git host you already use, artefact registry, and environments that are not “we deploy from a laptop”.
Budgets, recommender-driven right-sizing, CUDs when usage is steady, idle VM cleanup. Same honesty as the AWS cost page: no invented percentages.
Skills and tool stack
The certification domains plus the cost tools we already document. Not the entire Google catalogue.
Expect IAM, Cloud Run, GKE (including Autopilot), Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud CDN, Cloud Build, Cloud Monitoring, and billing exports to BigQuery when you want FinOps in SQL. Vertex AI only when there is a product reason, usually alongside the AI hire page rather than as a default.
Engagement models
If you only need a bill reading, the cost-audit engagement may be enough. If GCP is weekly work, hire someone into the team.
Owns projects, deploys, identity and cost. Makes sense when GCP is the production home, not an experiment beside AWS.
A few days a week for a product team that is moving to Cloud Run or needs a FinOps cadence without a full-time SRE.
A public bucket, a Cloud SQL surprise, a failed Cloud Build. Time-logged. Migrations are scoped as projects.
Hiring process
Read-only billing first. Owner access later, and never root-by-default.
Thirty minutes with the founder. Optional read-only on billing. We will tell you if AWS or a cost audit is the better first step.
Dedicated, part-time or hourly, with a first-month goal: land, harden, or reduce waste.
Custom roles or predefined roles that match the work. MFA. Your org stays yours.
A budget, a recommender applied, a non-prod parity fix. Proof before a migration story.
Changes, incidents, cost. In overlap hours, looking at your projects.
Same overlap design as AWS: afternoon for the UK and Europe, late window for US East, early for Australia. Region choice follows your users, not our office. We will not put a EU-only product in a distant region “because it was the tutorial default”.
Maintenance windows are written. Cloud SQL flags and GKE upgrades are not surprise Friday gifts. If your buyers are in one country, that country’s working day is the constraint we schedule around.
Morning updates waiting in your inbox when the US workday starts.
Same-day overlap for calls, reviews, and decisions.
Afternoon overlap with Central and Eastern European teams.
Early-morning calls that fit the Australian workday.
A Professional Cloud Architect on the call, a published GCP cost toolkit, and a refusal to fake case studies.
Professional Cloud Architect, 2023, plus AWS and Azure architect credentials on the same founder. Multi-cloud is a skill, not a slogan, and we still pick one home per product.
The cloud cost page names Google’s own tools. A hire on this page uses that list, not a mystery spreadsheet.
If a procurement form wants three Google Cloud case studies we do not have, we will say we do not have them. The certification and the cost work still stand.
Projects stay in your Google Cloud organisation. IaC transfers on payment. We are not a reseller in the middle.
We do not currently list Google Cloud on public case-study tech stacks. If that changes, matching projects will appear here. Until then, see our cloud cost work and AWS-hosted products for how we operate production apps.
A technical guide on how to integrate AI features (OpenAI, Anthropic) into existing Laravel and Node.js SaaS products using vector databases and background queues.
When to choose custom AI software development versus buying SaaS AI tools: data advantage, process rules, review needs, and cost tradeoffs.
