Dedicated React engineers

Hire React developers who will own the interface your users actually touch.

Need a React engineer for a dashboard, a design system, or a SPA that talks to your Laravel or Node API? DayDecoder hires frontend people who ship accessible UI in your design tokens — with overlap hours for the US, UK, Europe and Australia.

What our React developers ship.

React on this team is product UI: operators, buyers, and internal tools. We do not staff a separate creative-only frontend agency that never sees the API errors.

Public projects that list React include the AI SaaS platform (OpenAI, Laravel, React, Redis) and the crypto prediction contest app (Laravel, React, Redis, WebSockets). The credit-card bill payments product includes a React Native app on the same JWT API as the web. Those are different jobs — web React versus native — and we will not blur them on a call. If you need native, say native. If you need a web SPA, this page is the brief.

A good React hire here writes components that a second engineer can extend, talks to a real API contract, and cares about loading and empty states as much as the happy path. We have a long-form article on React architecture on the blog; that is the standard, not a marketing PDF.

  • Product dashboards

Tables, filters, charts and the boring permission checks. Built against your API, not against mock JSON that dies in week three.

  • SPAs and authenticated apps

Routing, session handling, and forms that fail loudly. If Laravel already serves Blade for marketing, React stays where interactivity earns its bundle.

  • Design systems in code

Tokens, primitives, and a storybook or equivalent when the team is more than one person. Design files are inputs, not the artefact users click.

  • Realtime UI

WebSocket or SSE views when the product is live rankings, inboxes or device boards. Optimistic UI only where rollback is defined.

Skills and tool stack

React tools we hire against.

React, TypeScript, and the router and data layer you already picked unless we agree to change them.

Defaults for new work: React 18+, TypeScript, Vite, React Router or TanStack Router, TanStack Query or a similarly explicit cache, Tailwind when the rest of the site already uses it (this marketing site does). Testing Library for behaviour. We will work in CRA or JavaScript if that is the repo; we will not pretend that is ideal.

UI

  • React 18+
  • TypeScript
  • Vite
  • Tailwind CSS

Data

  • TanStack Query
  • REST
  • JWT / cookie auth
  • WebSockets when required

Quality

  • Testing Library
  • Playwright for critical flows
  • ESLint
  • accessible names and keyboard paths

Native (separate brief)

  • React Native on products that already list it — scoped as mobile, not “the same as web”

Engagement models

A dedicated React developer, part-time UI capacity, or hourly frontend help.

Frontend work expands to fill the Figma. We size the hire to the screens that must ship this quarter.

Dedicated full-time React developer

Owns the web UI: design-system, dashboard, and the bugs users actually file. Best when the interface is the product, not a thin admin.

Part-time dedicated

A few days a week beside your backend team. Typical when Laravel is moving faster than the SPA, or when you need a design-system push without a full-time seat.

Hourly React help

A performance hole, an a11y audit, a nasty form. Time-logged. A full redesign dressed up as “a few hours” will be renamed in the proposal.

Hiring process

How a React hire starts.

Bring the design source, the API docs, and the browser list you actually support.

  1. 1

See the interface and the API

Figma or screenshots, auth model, and who consumes the UI. Thirty minutes with the founder.

  2. 2

    Written frontend proposal

Dedicated, part-time or hourly, plus whether React Native is in or out of scope so it does not sneak in later.

  3. 3

    Design tokens and environments

Access to the design file, staging API, and analytics if you have them. We will not invent a second visual language.

  4. 4

    First production-shaped screen

One real route with loading, empty and error states. Proof the toolchain and the API client work.

  5. 5

    Weekly UI demo

Clickable staging, in your overlap hours, not a GIF of a local laptop.

React collaboration across US, UK, EU and Australian hours.

UI review needs overlap more than backend batch work does. We keep afternoon windows for the UK and Europe and a late slot for US comments on staging. Australian clients get an early call with the latest screens on a URL, not a zip of screenshots.

Async still matters: pull requests with screenshots and a reproduction. A dedicated React engineer should not need a meeting to explain a button colour. Meetings are for product decisions and accessibility trade-offs.

  • United States

Morning updates waiting in your inbox when the US workday starts.

  • United Kingdom

Same-day overlap for calls, reviews, and decisions.

  • Europe

Afternoon overlap with Central and Eastern European teams.

  • Australia

Early-morning calls that fit the Australian workday.

Why hire React developers from DayDecoder.

The frontend person sits next to the people who wrote the API. That sounds obvious until you have hired a UI vendor who never saw a 422.

  • Same company as the backend

Laravel, Node and React hires share a founder and a repo culture. Fewer “the API is wrong / the UI is wrong” loops.

  • Accessibility is in the job

Keyboard paths, labels, and contrast on the components we add. We will not bolt a widget that only works with a mouse onto an operator tool.

  • Honest about React Native

Native is a different engagement. We have shipped React Native on the bill-payments product. We still will not staff it from this page by accident.

  • You own the UI code

Custom React and IP transfer on payment. Design tokens and components stay in your repo, not in a private kit we license back to you.

FAQ

Questions about hiring React developers.

Straight answers on the stack, ownership and time zones. Email us if yours is missing.

Yes. That is the usual setup: Laravel or Node owns JSON, React owns the authenticated UI. We agree the contract (OpenAPI or a living docs page) so the frontend is not inventing fields.
