Dedicated DevOps engineers
Need a DevOps engineer to set up CI/CD, containerise an app, tidy an AWS account or stop 2 a.m. surprises? DayDecoder hires DevOps engineers from Ahmedabad, India, led by a founder who is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect, with overlap hours for the US, UK, Europe and Australia.
DevOps here is the work that keeps a product shipping: pipelines, environments, monitoring and the cloud account underneath. We do it for products we build and for products other teams built.
Several case studies on this site list AWS or AWS S3, including the credit-card bill payments platform, the cloud POS for restaurants and retail, the customs inventory tracking ERP and the multi-tenant legal entity platform. The WhatsApp marketing SaaS runs with Docker. Those products need queues, workers, scheduled jobs, file storage and database backups that keep working when nobody is watching, which is the everyday shape of our DevOps work.
We also run a cloud cost practice, described on our cloud cost pages, because a DevOps hire who ignores the invoice is only doing half the job. A DevOps engineer from DayDecoder is expected to leave behind a pipeline your developers trust, a runbook a new person can follow, and an account where access is not a single shared key on someone’s laptop.
Tests, builds and deploys on every pull request, with staging that matches production closely enough to be useful and a rollback that has been tried.
Docker images for apps and workers, sensible environment variables and secrets, and local setups that do not take a new developer a week.
AWS or Google Cloud accounts organised with least-privilege access, separate environments and backups that have actually been restored once.
Logs, alerts and uptime checks that point at the cause, plus budgets and right-sizing so the bill stops being a monthly surprise.
Skills and tool stack
We use the platform you already run unless there is a clear reason to move. Most of our work lands on AWS; we also staff Google Cloud.
For a typical Laravel or Node product that means EC2 or containers behind a load balancer, a managed database, Redis, object storage, a CDN in front of public assets and a pipeline that runs tests before anything reaches production. Kubernetes is in scope when the workload needs it, not as a default for a single API. We will not add a tool because it is fashionable, and we document every one we do add.
Engagement models
Many products do not need a full-time DevOps seat. We will say so and recommend the smallest setup that keeps you safe.
For products with several services, frequent releases or compliance needs, where infrastructure is a steady stream of work rather than a project.
The same engineer for a fixed number of days each week to own pipelines, monitoring and the cloud account. The most common shape for a growing SaaS.
A pipeline that broke, an account review, a backup check or a migration plan. Time-logged, with notes you keep.
Hiring process
Five steps from the first call to a pipeline and an alert you can trust.
Thirty minutes with the founder about where the app runs, how it deploys, what has broken recently and what the bill looks like.
The person, the engagement model, the start date and the first risks we would fix. No obligation.
NDA if you want one, then scoped access in your cloud account. Credentials stay yours and can be revoked at any time.
In the first week we document what is running, what is backed up and what is exposed, and agree the order of fixes with you.
Changes made, incidents, cost movement and what is next, in your overlap hours.
Working from India is useful for infrastructure. Risky changes and maintenance windows can run outside your peak hours, with a written summary waiting in your morning. Planned changes are agreed in overlap time with the UK and Europe in our afternoon, a late slot for US teams and early calls with Australia.
Out-of-hours on-call cover is not assumed. If you need it, we agree the scope, response expectations and escalation path in the proposal rather than promising something vague.
Morning updates waiting in your inbox when the US workday starts.
Same-day overlap for calls, reviews, and decisions.
Afternoon overlap with Central and Eastern European teams.
Early-morning calls that fit the Australian workday.
Our DevOps people work alongside the developers who build our products, so pipelines and infrastructure are designed around how the app actually runs.
The founder is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect and is involved in infrastructure decisions on client work.
Budgets, right-sizing and idle clean-up are part of normal DevOps work here, not a separate upsell.
Our engineers can read the Laravel or Node code behind a slow endpoint instead of only adding servers.
Pipelines, scripts and documentation live in your repositories and accounts. Nothing depends on our access.
