Dedicated Python engineers

Hire Python developers for the jobs PHP should not pretend to do.

Trading bots, document OCR, data pipelines and FastAPI services: hire a DayDecoder Python engineer who will sit beside your product team, not disappear into a notebook. Overlap hours for the US, UK, Europe and Australia. You own the code.

What our Python developers build.

We do not hire Python as a fashion. We hire it where the runtime fits: numerical work, broker APIs, OCR, and small services that Laravel should not swallow.

The public portfolio is explicit. MetaTrader 5 automation, signal routing, backtesting reports and risk-guard logic are Python (often with Laravel around the product UI). The document intelligence platform uses Python for OCR and extraction, Laravel for the rest of the product. Factory monitoring mixes Laravel with Python and MQTT. That mix is the point: a Python hire at DayDecoder is expected to integrate, not to start a second company in a virtualenv.

We have long-form guides on building algo-trading bots with Python broker APIs, backtesting without treating a backtest as a promise, and bridging MetaTrader to external Python services. Those articles are how we talk on a kickoff. If your brief is “ChatGPT wrapper in Flask”, we will say so and point you at the AI hire page or decline.

  • Trading and broker automation

Strategy runners, logs, alerts and safeguards. We document risk limits. We do not sell past performance as a forecast.

  • Document OCR and extraction

Pipelines that turn PDFs and scans into fields a reviewer can correct. Python does the extraction; a web app owns the queue and audit trail.

  • Data and report factories

Pandas jobs, scheduled reports, comparisons of runs. The backtesting report project on this site is the shape: metrics you can export, not a mystery notebook.

  • FastAPI (or Django) services

A typed API when Python is the right runtime. Django when the product is already Django. We will not invent a framework war to bill more hours.

Skills and tool stack

Python stack we staff.

Boring packaging, pinned dependencies, and a job runner you can see. Research-only notebooks stay off the production path.

Typical tools: Python 3.11+, FastAPI or Django, SQLAlchemy or Django ORM, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery or a simpler worker, Pandas where the data earns it. For trading, broker SDKs and MetaTrader bridges as in our published guides. For OCR, the libraries already in the document-intelligence stack plus a human review step when the field matters.

Language & APIs

  • Python 3.11+
  • FastAPI
  • Django
  • Pydantic
  • type hints

Data

  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • Pandas
  • SQLAlchemy

Jobs & ML-adjacent

  • Celery or RQ
  • OCR pipelines
  • OpenAI clients when the product already uses them

Delivery

  • pytest
  • Docker
  • CI
  • pinned lockfiles

Engagement models

Dedicated Python capacity, part-time, or hourly research-to-production help.

A trading or OCR pipeline usually wants the same person every week. A one-off backtest exporter can be a scoped burst.

Dedicated full-time Python developer

Owns the service: API, workers, data quality, deploys. Best when Python is a standing part of the product, not a prototype.

Part-time dedicated

A few days a week beside a Laravel or in-house team. Typical for a trading module or an OCR lane that is real but not a full headcount.

Hourly Python help

A failing broker integration, a pytest gap, a packaging mess. Time-logged. Notebooks without an owner are a conversation, not a retainer.

Hiring process

How we add a Python developer to your product.

Bring the runtime, the data, and the thing that is not allowed to be wrong (a fill, a KYC field, a report number).

  1. 1

    Name the risk

On a 30-minute call we ask what happens if the Python job is wrong. Trading, money and identity get a slower, more tested path.

  2. 2

    Written Python proposal

Dedicated, part-time or hourly, plus how Python talks to your existing Laravel or Node app if you have one.

  3. 3

    Environment that matches production

Dependency lock, secrets, and a staging broker or document set. We do not “test in prod” because the notebook ran on a laptop.

  4. 4

    First tested job or endpoint

A pytest-covered slice in week one. If we cannot run tests in CI, we fix that before features.

  5. 5

    Weekly demo with real outputs

A report, an extracted document, or a paper-traded run you can inspect — in your overlap window.

Python delivery for US, UK, EU and Australian market hours.

Trading and market-data jobs often care about London or New York hours more than Ahmedabad hours. We schedule overlap so a risk limit or a failed broker session is a conversation, not a next-day email. Batch backtests and OCR queues run in India time so your morning has results, not progress theatre.

If you need someone watching a session from open to close in US hours, say so. That is a staffing question we will answer honestly. A single dedicated engineer cannot sit two markets at once.

  • United States

Morning updates waiting in your inbox when the US workday starts.

  • United Kingdom

Same-day overlap for calls, reviews, and decisions.

  • Europe

Afternoon overlap with Central and Eastern European teams.

  • Australia

Early-morning calls that fit the Australian workday.

Why DayDecoder for a Python hire.

You get Python that is willing to live next to Laravel and AWS, plus public writing on trading and AI that matches how we work.

  • Production, not a notebook cult

Lockfiles, tests, and an owner. Exploratory notebooks are allowed; they are not the release artefact.

  • Trading written without fairy dust

Our MetaTrader and backtesting guides refuse to treat a backtest as a promise. The hire will follow that tone in your repo too.

  • Clear split with the web app

Python does the numerical or document work. The product UI and billing stay where they already work, unless we agree otherwise.

  • You own the code

Custom Python and IP transfer on payment. Models, prompts and weights you supplied remain yours. We do not trap you in a private library.
