Dedicated Flutter engineers
Need a Flutter engineer for a customer app, a tablet POS, a kiosk or a kitchen display that has to talk to printers? DayDecoder hires Flutter developers from Ahmedabad, India who write clean Dart, understand the Laravel API behind the app, and keep overlap hours with the US, UK, Europe and Australia.
Flutter is our choice when the UI must look the same on every device or when the app talks to hardware. Here is the public evidence.
For a cloud POS platform serving restaurants and retail, we built a Flutter POS app organised by feature: authentication, POS, inventory, expenses, kitchen display, kiosk, printer and settings. It has separate phone and counter-terminal layouts from one codebase, uses Riverpod for state, go_router for navigation, Dio for the API and Hive for local storage, prints receipts over Bluetooth and network printers using ESC/POS, and can drive a customer-facing second display on supported terminals. Merchants use it to sell at the counter, run a kitchen screen and take kiosk orders against the same live data as the web back office.
The portfolio also includes a healthcare mobile app in Flutter with Firebase and a Laravel API, covering doctor appointments, patient and doctor chat and medical record workflows across patient and doctor apps. In both cases the Flutter developers worked against an API built in the same team, which is how we prefer to staff mobile work.
Responsive layouts for phones and counter terminals, self-order kiosk modes and kitchen displays from one Flutter codebase.
Receipt printing over Bluetooth and network printers with ESC/POS, PDF receipts and customer-facing second displays.
Appointments, chat, bookings, payments and notifications, with patient, customer and staff roles kept apart.
Code organised by feature with shared components and providers, so a second developer can find their way around.
Skills and tool stack
Libraries taken from our public Flutter projects, not a wish list.
Expect Dart, Riverpod, go_router, Dio, Hive, Firebase where the product uses it, ESC/POS printing and platform channels when hardware needs them. Separate test and production builds per environment are standard. If your app uses Bloc or Provider instead, we work with your existing structure rather than rewrite it.
Engagement models
POS and kiosk apps tend to need a steady owner; a printer bug can be an hourly job.
A Flutter developer who owns the app, releases and hardware integrations every week.
Reserved days each week for a live app that needs Flutter upgrades, new screens and store maintenance.
A printer that stopped printing, a layout broken on one tablet, a failing build. Time-logged.
Hiring process
If hardware is involved, we ask for the device list early.
Thirty minutes with the founder about the app, the devices it runs on, the API and your release process.
Dedicated, part-time or hourly, a first milestone and a start date. No obligation.
NDA if you want one, repository and store access, and a test device or printer model if hardware is in scope.
A small change shipped as a test build you can install, proving the build and signing setup.
Working builds on real devices every week, with notes for the next store release.
We work from Ahmedabad, India. Afternoons overlap with the UK and Europe, early mornings or late evenings with the US, and mornings with Australia. Builds are usually ready when your team starts work.
For apps used in shops and restaurants, releases are planned outside trading peaks in your market, so nobody updates a POS app in the middle of a lunch rush.
Morning updates waiting in your inbox when the US workday starts.
Same-day overlap for calls, reviews, and decisions.
Afternoon overlap with Central and Eastern European teams.
Early-morning calls that fit the Australian workday.
A production Flutter POS with printers and kiosks, a healthcare app, and the backend skills to support both.
Receipt printers, second displays and terminal layouts are in our public Flutter work.
Flutter developers here work beside the people who build the Laravel API, so features ship end to end.
We also ship React Native. If it suits your team better, we will tell you.
Source, signing keys and store accounts stay yours. NDA on request.
Relevant work
Case studies and projects whose stack lists Flutter or Dart. Client names stay confidential.
A multi-location point of sale and business management platform for restaurants, cafes and retail stores: fast checkout at the counter, table bookings, inventory, purchasing, staff and reports in one web app, with companion apps for terminals, kiosks and handheld devices.
A family of mobile apps for a cloud POS platform: a Flutter POS app with phone and terminal layouts, a kitchen display and a self-order kiosk mode, plus React Native (Expo) apps for counter sales, customer kiosks, table ordering and inventory counts.
Keep the till deterministic. Use AI around it for forecasts, stock-aware suggestions, manager-ranked voids, and invoice extraction — never for tax on a receipt.
